Windows 11 New OOBE Experience!
So I spent some time playing with Windows 11 Autopilot today and really liked the new out of box experience. And with that we have a new autopilot ESP as well. Here are my thoughts…
First the new UI is clean and for focused, feels fresh. So like before we start off with Region just like before.
Then Keyboard layout with some fun animations.
Checking for Updates.. Oh Yea Updates! This is the point Windows checks for any new Servicing update also a check for an Autopilot Association. In this case the Autopilot Profile hasn’t been assigned..
But here is something New, with Windows 11 we are calling out Computer name during OOBE, this is the same during Autopilot which is something new which didn’t exist with our Windows 10 Builds. I like the direction but I will need to see if I can suppress this with defining the computer name on the Autopilot Device.
So this is where we see personal or work or school. This is the same options we are given in Windows 10. But again loving these new graphics.
Now this is an authentication screen, I did notice Autopilot and this look VERY similar than Windows 10. You will have to check out the Autopilot OOBE/ESP blog post to see those. So I’m not wanting to do an online account at this time so lets click sign-in options and see what we get.
This is interesting and new, before Domain join option was on the authentication page in the lower left corner now it's on its own page with a really cool option of sign in with a security key. Making headway towards password less..
Provided the username as before..
And password..
Next privacy same as windows 10 but again a fresh new look!
And into windows we go.
I really like this new UI. Its clean and strait forward.. Next check it out on Autopilot..
